Dental Dentures & Partial Dentures in Grover Beach, CA
What is a Denture?
Dentures are removable appliances that can replace all or several missing teeth and tissue and help restore your smile.
Types of Dentures
Replace All Teeth
-
Conventional: full removable denture that replaces all teeth on the upper or lower arch. This denture is placed in your mouth after the remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed. It usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.
-
Immediate: full removable denture made in advance and placed on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed. Patient does not have to be without teeth during the healing process. Once the gums and jawbone heal and shrinks, you may need your denture to be adjusted, relined or remade.
Replace Several Teeth
-
Partial: replaces multiple missing teeth on upper or lower arch. The partial is held in place by clasps that fit around some of the remaining natural teeth.

Procedure
The process of making dentures varies in each case, and it usually involves several appointments. To begin the process, we start doing accurate impressions (molds) of your mouth and take some measurements. Several “try-in” appointments may be necessary to ensure proper fit of the base, and to the color, shape, and placement of the teeth. During the final appointment, you try it in, and we make any necessary adjustments to ensure a natural and comfortable fit.
Our esthetic, custom-fitted dentures are made to help our patients increase their quality of life through total oral function and beauty.
