Reasons for a Bridge

A bridge will help:
-
Restore your bite.
-
Restore your smile.
-
Keep the natural shape of your face.
-
Upgrade from a removable partial (denture).

A bridge will prevent:
-
Shifting of nearby and opposite teeth after losing a tooth.
Adjacent and opposite teeth may tilt or drift into the empty spaces.
The imbalance may affect your bite and jaw joints and may cause pain.
-
Bone loss and shrinking can occur around the missing tooth.
The bone may shrink and over time, this can make your face look different and sag.
-
Difficulty keeping teeth free of plaque and bacteria causing gum disease and infections.

Bridges are made to match the color of your Natural Teeth
Procedure

Bridge supported on Natural Teeth
The adjacent teeth to the missing spaces are prepared for crowns.
Then, we take an impression of your teeth and the space(s) and send the case to the laboratory. There is an enormous difference in the quality between laboratories. We use only the best and most experienced labs.
A temporary bridge is made and placed the same day of the preparation.
Then, about 10 days later, the temporary one is removed, and the final bridge is cemented.

The implants are surgically placed into the jaw and act as a base for the bridge.
Some key benefits of using implants to support the bridge:
-
They don’t need support from the surrounding teeth.
-
There is no need to touch and prep the natural teeth.
